LOVE LOVE LOVE these bumpers
As a new mom I listened to all the professional advice regarding no bumpers, pillows, and extra anything in the crib when my son was an infant... made sense, reduced risk - done! However, when my son became old enough to start pulling himself up in the crib --and then falling down-- I worried about him cracking his head on the bare (and solid!) wooden slats of the crib. I had heard that traditional bumpers could eventually be used by clever toddlers as a step stool to help climb out, so I searched for an alternative... and came across these.
Yes, they're expensive - no doubt - but I'm SO glad I got them. I love them. So much so that I was putting my son to bed the other night and thought about that fact and decided I needed to come up here and write a review.... after almost 2 years of having them.
They gave me the peace of mind for his safety and security. My son likes to scoot up in the corner of his crib so his head touches the top and he's close to one...

A good alternative to traditional bumpers
I find this to be a great product for my son as he would constantly pull on the traditional bumper and I was afraid he'd get trapped underneath it. I tried going without any sort of bumper but the lil' man would bonk his head on a crib slat in the middle of the night and be woken up. I like the fact that the pads are reversible (blue/brown) and are easy to install. Another plus is that you don't have to remove the Wonder Bumpers when changing the sheet or mattress pad. When my package arrived, several of the bumpers (on the blue side) were caked with dust; this was disappointing as it curbed my initial enthusiasm for this (expensive) product. Another interesting observation is that there does not seem to be great consistency in the padding provided by each individual slat cover...some are definitely more padded than others which resulted in me strategically installing the more padded slat covers when my son needs them most.
Good product - would definitely recommend to friends
I love the product! Great alternative to regular bumpers. When my daughter started moving around and bumping her head in the crib, I wanted to put bumpers in but was afraid of poor air circulation and suffocation because she was still very young (5 months). This provided a good alternative to traditional bumpers. The color choices are good. Price is a little steep and I wish there is a way to hide the zippers. I didn't wrap the whole crib with these bumpers since she only moved to the same general area. Covers are easy to wash and are reversible in color.
